We’ll give a realistic look at what the Los Angeles Lakers’ front office can do this offseason to improve the roster.

The Los Angeles Lakers are always a big internet draw. Still, now that LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and company have led the Purple and Gold to their first title in a decade, interest in LA’s premier organization has risen to new heights.

All this added attention has led to dozens of wildly speculative articles about how Rob Pelinka and the rest of the Lakers brass will bolster the rotation around the NBA’s best duo during the offseason.

Let’s avoid wild trades and “imaginative” upgrades. Instead, we’ll work within the parameters of actuality.

We know that the Lakers have LeBron James, Danny Green, Alex Caruso, Kyle Kuzma, Talen Horton-Tucker, and Quinn Cook signed through next season. Beyond those six players (and perhaps including some of them via trade), the roster is up in the air.

Next, we’ll give a realistic look at what the Lakers will most likely do with their unrestricted free agents and players with a player option for next season. We’ll also explore one viable trade for the Purple and Gold, realistic free-agent options, and finally, veterans who are minimum contract possibilities.
