Both Victor Oladipo and Jrue Holiday are potential trade targets for the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Los Angeles Lakers are fresh off of winning the NBA Championship and the franchise is looking to turn this into a multi-year run. To do so, the front office is going to have to address points of the roster in the offseason to ensure that the Lakers are still a legitimate contending team.

The biggest goal for the Lakers should be to add a third star. They are not going to get a top-tier superstar like LeBron James or Anthony Davis, but they could get a third all-star on the roster to cement their place as the best team in the league.

If they could do so without sacrificing the possibility of signing Giannis Antetokounmpo next summer then that is even better.

Luckily, there are two former all-stars who exactly fit this billing. They are both the perfect talent-level to be the third star and do not restrict the team from signing a big star next summer. Those two stars are Victor Oladipo and Jrue Holiday.

An Oladipo trade has been one of the biggest rumors of the offseason while recent reports suggest that the New Orleans Pelicans are openly discussing a Jrue Holiday trade this offseason.

Both Oladipo and Holiday are great players who play the same position and have very similar salaries with very similar trade value. They are very easy to compare and the Lakers could realistically get one of them in a trade.

So, who should the Los Angeles Lakers prioritize in a potential trade? Let’s compare the two all-stars.
