5. Kent Bazemore

Kent Bazemore is a familiar face for the Los Angeles Lakers. Back in the 2013-14 season, he played with the team and had a good end to the season. Although no staff and players are still left from that team.

Bazemore is a crafty veteran that knows his role on a team. He is a long and lanky defender that can also shoot the 3-point ball. He has shot 35.1% from deep in his career and he is good at getting out in transition.

Bazemore is also versatile as he plays both shooting guard and small forward. As he’s gotten older he isn’t the same defender as he used to be. But last year even on a bad Sacramento Kings team and average Portland Trail Blazers team he has a defensive rating of 106.6.

Going to a team that has championship aspirations, he will get much better on that end. In his time with the Atlanta Hawks he was very good on that end. With him motivated, he could get back to that level.

He is coming off a big contract and more than likely will be available on a one year deal. He could be a good boost off the bench for the Lakers.
