There are several all-star guards that the Los Angeles Lakers could trade for.

The backcourt is the area of the Los Angeles Lakers‘ roster that is going to have the most variance from last season. Several Lakers, such as Rajon Rondo, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, may not be on the Lakers next season, prompting the front office to look for a replacement.

Rob Pelinka and co. are not just looking to replace the guards that they may potentially lose, they are looking to improve opon them. If you are a frequent reader of Lake Show Life then you have heard this before: if you are not getting better you are falling behind.

The Lakers, as good as they are, need to make some kind of improvement. The league is getting better. The Lakers do not need a monumental change, but they can not afford to be complacent.

There are four former all-star guards — Derrick Rose, Victor Oladipo, Jrue Holiday and most recently, DeMar DeRozan — that have been connected to the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason. Quite frankly, it is not hard to create a road map for all four to end up in Los Angeles.

But who would be the best addition? The Lakers should have a big board of sorts for the four all-star guards that they could target via trade. If we were tasked with constructed that big board, here would be our ranking.

Note: Neither Chris Paul nor Russell Westbrook is on this list as the odds of the Los Angeles Lakers acquiring either player is extremely slim.
