What will the Los Angeles Lakers’ closing lineup look like?

This is probably the most interesting question facing the Los Angeles Lakers this season. During the playoffs, the Purple and Gold deployed various closing lineups depending on the matchup. Those lineups mostly consisted of a variation of LeBron, AD, Rondo and two other players.

This season though one might say that the Lakers have even more depth and have their choice of lineups to pick or could stick to a lineup that could beat up on anyone. Could we see AD at the 5 with Harrell at the 4?

That would be a tantalizing possibility as Harrell could bring a different dimension to the lineup with his rolling ability. I would personally love to see a Schroder, KCP, LeBron, Harrell, and AD lineup.

Sure, there could be issues with this lineup, particularly with spacing as Schroder and KCP are not exactly sharpshooters and Dennis likes to have the ball in his hands. But the defensive side of the equation would be really interesting.

In the end, though, the smartest bet would be to take it on a matchup basis. Let’s see what the coaching staff cooks up and how the team plays. Let the season begin.
