There is no better time to dive into some New Year’s Resolutions for the Los Angeles Lakers franchise.

The new year is rapidly approaching, and even though the Los Angeles Lakers won the title in 2020, most of us are ready to get this wild year in the review mirror. That means it is that time of year for those New Year’s resolutions everyone wants to make and not follow through with.

So, why not make a list of resolutions that the Lakers will hopefully complete by the end of the season?

The Lakers are one of the few teams in the league where it is hard to think of many things they can improve on inthe new year. However, with a 3-2 record five games into the season, it is clear the Lakers are far from unbeatable and have plenty they can improve on.

Like most New Year’s resolutions, the ones that have been picked for the Lake Show are more hopeful goals than concrete plans to improve the team.

Some of these resolutions are minor, like tweaks to the rotation to get a specific player more playing time. The rest of the list is compiled of lofty goals that any team in the NBA would love to accomplish by the end of the year.

One of the resolutions was even suggested by Anthony Davis at the beginning of last season, but it was not accomplished. Considering this Lakers team might be better than the last, then this squad might be able to pull it off.

Here are the five New Year’s resolutions to help keep the world champion Lakers in shape this season.
