This is the vision of Magic Johnson when LeBron James joined the Los Angeles Lakers!

Magic Johnson had a dream when he cleaned up the salary cap years before LeBron and AD’s arrival. He wanted to see Showtime back in the purple and gold. Most casual fans notice the fancy passes and slam dunks. Only a few understand how it works.

The Lakers fast break overwhelmed the Thunder. Why? The ball almost never touched the ground.

Just watch the sequence…

  • One block by Marc Gasol at the rim (He had three more!).
  • One save by Dennis Schroder to Gasol to start the fast break.
  • Gasol passed the ball to LeBron who immediately hit KCP with a hit ahead pass.
  • KCP takes one dribble and throws it down on the other end.

There were numerous plays like this all night long. It might have looked like the Thunder laid down, but the fact is a lively ball that moves is faster than any human being.

Hopefully the Lakers brought a souvenir off the road that helps them win at home. They are setting records on the road, but they are below .500 at home. Hopefully LeBron and company can start a winning streak at Staples when they play the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday.

Lake Show Life ends this Lessons post game with the best plays from all seven games on the road. Shout out to Dennis Schroder who is all over the highlights.
