Los Angeles Lakers: 5 lessons from the blown lead vs the Warriors
By Ronald Agers
LeBron James played his first subpar game for the Los Angeles Lakers!
Lake Show Life Fun fact: The Los Angeles Lakers are 0-4 when LeBron James and Anthony Davis both score less than 20 points in the same game.
Most of the sports networks will define LeBron James’ night based on the last two seconds of the game with this missed shot.

Well, it means nothing. Players have been missing last-second shots since the invention of basketball with the peach basket. That is not what defines this game. It was the constant complaining from the lack of calls. Lake Show Life warned that opposing players were going to get rougher to make up for their lack of talent.
He was even complaining about his traveling calls after the game. The calls weren’t the reason the Lakers lost. It was the lack of execution and aggression of James that was the problem.
LeBron James finished with a stat line of 19 points (6-16 shooting, 5-8 from the line, 2-7 from 3 point line!), 5 rebounds, 5 assists and a game-high 5 turnovers.
For the record, LeBron was right about some of these calls. Even though he did travel twice (He was yelling at KCP for not shooting after the first one!), it’s the same move that 95 percent of the NBA does. If the refs are going to call traveling on LeBron, they CAN’T miss Draymond Green dragging his foot the next time down the floor.
But LeBron brought back a habit of whining to the officials. It’s cool when the Lakers are winning or at least when he runs back on defense. In this game, he did not. Pause at three seconds folks, film don’t lie.
As big and physical as LeBron James is, he’s not going to get every call. If he doesn’t believe that after 18 years, he’s got to have Shaquille O’Neal on speed dial. He allowed the referees to get in his head and it hurt the Los Angeles Lakers.
While LeBron James was distracted on the court, Anthony Davis’ play will be an interesting discussion. Even though AD got his numbers, they didn’t impact the Lakers enough for a win. Read on to see what we are talking about.
