The Los Angeles Lakers pride themselves on not losing two games in a row. After a heartbreaking loss in Philly and Anthony Davis sitting out with an injury, the Lakers find themselves with a two-game losing streak getting beat down late by the Detroit Pistons.

Lake Show Life breaks down what else happened in Lake Show Life Lessons! The only Los Angeles Lakers extended post-game report with in-depth analysis and highlights.

The Lake Show Life staff has a poll for the greatest Lakers fans in the world. In the back to back losses, which one was worse? Was it the Tobias Harris heartbreaker that stole a chance to extend to an historic 11 game winning streak?

Or?

A beatdown from the Detroit Pistons, one of the worst teams in the NBA? The comment section is below, have at it.

The Los Angeles Lakers weren’t able to get untracked in the second half, as they lost to the Detroit Pistons 107-92. The loss represents their first consecutive losing streak of the season. How bad was the second half?

  • The Lakers only scored 34 points, the fewest scoring total in any half in the LeBron era.
  • They were outscored 25-14 in the fourth quarter.
  • In the last quarter, the Lakers did not score for almost seven minutes.
  • With the game close at 88-87, the Lakers missed 12 straight shots and had two turnovers.
  • By the end of this disastrous stretch, the Pistons were up 17 points. LeBron went to the bench and the game was over.

Anthony Davis was held out with right quad soreness. This game really showed how much the Lakers need him on the defensive end. The normal weaknesses the Lake Show has at this point with a lack of size due to Marc Gasol being the only center was magnified.

Give the Pistons credit, they did not turn the ball over which is a major part of the Lakers fast break offense. Plus, this might be the only game where Wayne Ellington and Blake Griffin shoot 3 pointers like they got invited to the 3 point contest on All-Star Weekend.

The Lakers are probably feeling the dog days of the season (Even these Lake Show Life Lessons pieces are starting to run together!), but they have LeBron James, an embarrassment of talent on a roster that includes Dennis Schroder, Montrezl Harrell, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Alex Caruso, Kyle Kuzma playing one of his better games just to name a few on one of the deepest rosters in the NBA.

They had better come ready play in the TD Garden against the Boston Celtics on Saturday.
