The Los Angeles Lakers opened up the national TV package against their rivals, the Boston Celtics. It was almost “Groundhog Day” for the Lake Show as the Celtics missed two very makeable shots in the final seconds. After two straight losses, the Los Angeles Lakers ESCAPED with a win over Boston!

Lake Show Life breaks down what else happened in Lake Show Life Lessons! The only Los Angeles Lakers extended post-game report with in-depth analysis and highlights.

Lake Show Life knows that two things are going to happen after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or Kansas City Chiefs raise the Vince Lombardi trophy after the Super Bowl.

  • One, the staff is going to be very busy covering the hottest sports team in the world.
  • Two, thanks to the last two games this week on ABC/ESPN, they are not only the best team in the league, they will probably be added to a few MORE nationally televised games!

To understand the wildness that represented the last few seconds of the instant classic that was yet another chapter of the Celtics/Lakers rivalry, we have to rewind back a few days to the Philadelphia 76ers game in the final seconds.

Tobias Harris raises up and knocks down a great shot over Alex Caruso to end the Lakers ten-game winning streak.

Now fast forward to Saturday night. Tell the truth Lakers fans, how many out there were screaming “OH NO!” in the final seconds of this game during this sequence?

Kemba Walker closed out his 1-12 shooting night missing from nearly the same exact spot as Tobias Harris with Daniel Theis missing from point-blank range to preserve the Lakers 96-95 win.

Alex Caruso only scored 2 points and grabbed 3 rebounds in this game. IT DOES NOT MATTER!

This report will start with him and the uncanny hustle that he brings every night for the Los Angeles Lakers and how he saved this game. Watch the breakdown in the video above.

  • Alex Caruso is in the top right corner as Kemba Walker comes from behind Anthony Davis and steals the ball.
  • Watch Caruso race down the floor as fast as he can to catch up to Jaylen Brown.
  • He gets in front to deflect the pass, if he doesn’t the game is over and this is a three-game losing streak discussion!
  • Even though Brown gets the ball back, precious time is slipping away from Boston. It also gives AD, Dennis Schroder and Montrezl Harrell time to get back in transition defense.
  • Schroder has time to run Kemba Walker off the 3 point line and eventually contest his shot.
  • Harrell blocks out Theis just enough to miss his follow up tip.

Alex Caruso is a basketball purist’s dream. Many around the NBA still don’t respect his game to this day, but those days need to end. There is a reason why AC Fresh closes out games. He plays within himself, doesn’t make too many mistakes, supports the stars when needed and makes plays like the last play of the game that does not make box scores.

Lake Show Life is saying it now! The Los Angeles Lakers NEED a healthy Alex Caruso in the playoffs!

Lake Show Life is one of the few Los Angeles Lakers websites that always have the business end of the NBA in mind. The ABC/ESPN executives must have been jumping for joy after this game. It was heavily promoted for almost a week for momentum to carry out the rest of the season.
