Thought we were going to talk about the Los Angeles Lakers needing a center didn’t you?

Marc Gasol had one point in this game. At this point, if Marc Gasol makes a huge impact on this championship run, this writer has an apology waiting for fellow Lake Show Life writer, Kevin Germany, who still believes he can make a contribution.

Hey, Rajon Rondo was terrible last year too, so anything can happen during playoff time.

No, the Los Angeles Lakers need an athletic wing player that can defend multiple positions. Man Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown each gave the Lakers the business!

The All-Star wings of the Boston Celtics DESTROYED the Los Angeles Lakers in this game.

The Lakers could not stop them. Just look at the numbers at the end of the night.

Jayson Tatum:

30 points (12-18 shooting, 2-3 from 3 point land!), 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in 40 minutes. Oh and this after coming back recently from a bout from COVID-19.

Jaylen Brown:

He scored 28 points (13-19 shooting, 2-4 from 3 point land!), with 3 assists, a steal and a block!

Even Robert Williams III came off the bench and hit all of his five shots in the game for 11 points.  Readers of this site have been wondering about the center situation for weeks. This game showed another need on the roster.

We’d like to apologize to our Lake Show Life readers. We love you and appreciate you but for one night, we’ll stop beating the dead horse with Gasol.

The Lakers now go to Atlanta to finish a seven-game road trip.

Don’t sleep on the Hawks, they are playing very well these days. Trae Young has gotten out of a slump and Clint Capela is playing out of his mind right now. If Marc Gasol is starting, well we’ll pick up the center conversation then.
