Things have not been going as planned for the Washington Wizards. The Wizards flipped John Wall and a draft pick to the Houston Rockets for guard Russell Westbrook, who is having the worst season of his career and have many thinking that he is now past his prime.

The frustration of a 4-12 record has been on full display from Wizards star guard, Bradley Beal. Beal has naturally become the most interesting name on the NBA trade market and while Wizards coach Scott Brooks said the team is not looking to trade the all-star guard, I would not be shocked if they do.

All it takes is for Beal to show his unhappiness and demand a trade out of Washington. This is the NBA we are talking about, c’mon now.

Unfortunately for Los Angeles Lakers fans, Beal is not a realistic trade target. His contract is simply too high to really make it work and the Lakers do not have the assets to outbid other teams. The chance of Beal being traded to the Lakers is the same as me making a dunk in the NBA — non-existent.

That does not mean that the Los Angeles Lakers have to miss out on all the fun.

The Wizards are terrible and should really just enter full tank mode if they trade Beal. That means potentially trading other assets away as well, as tanking teams often do.

The ‘ol fire sale. Here are two Washington Wizards that the Los Angeles Lakers could trade for if that is the case.
