The Los Angeles Lakers took on the Brooklyn Nets in a much-hyped NBA Finals preview with plenty of star power. The dream matchup never materialized with no Kevin Durant or Anthony Davis. But when Dennis Schroder was held out for COVID-19 protocols, the matchup didn’t materialize either and the Lakers got blown out at home!

Lake Show Life breaks down what else happened in Lake Show Life Lessons! The only Los Angeles Lakers extended post-game report with in-depth analysis and highlights.

When the NBA scheduled the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets on TNT, it was supposed to be a potential NBA Finals preview with plenty of star power. Then Anthony Davis and Kevin Durant sat out with injuries. Then the next storyline for NBA fans was to pit Kyrie Irving and LeBron James, the last of the biggest “What it?” combinations in the last decade with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Now that both have moved on to teams that most believe will be in the NBA Finals in June. Social media was flooded with conspiracy theories on the end of the partnership and who’s fault it was.

That discussion was probably more interesting than this game as the Los Angeles Lakers committed two major sins that will keep you from winning basketball games.

  • They didn’t stop the Brooklyn Nets offense
  • Then they couldn’t muster up any offense of their own.

After grabbing an early lead in the first quarter, the Lakers offense sputtered as the Lakers lost 109-98.

It was one thing not to have Anthony Davis, who had his calf strain reevaluated and his absence extended to four weeks (PFFT! Lake Show Life says six weeks!). It was another to lose Dennis Schroder an hour before the game to the NBA’s health and safety protocols.

The Lakers will try and bounce back in their NBA Finals rematch with the Miami Heat in front of a national TV audience on Saturday night. But the Lakers now have issues on both ends of the floor. CBS Sports’ probably shows the game plan that the Lakers will be facing until Dennis Schroder gets out of the protocol.

In short, Miami will shadow the shooters and challenge LeBron to score 40 points or more. The question is…Will he accept it?
