Los Angeles Lakers: 4 Lessons in blowout loss vs. Brooklyn Nets

The Los Angeles Lakers minutes distribution: Marc Gasol…20 minutes. Montrezl Harrell…15 minutes. Really? 

When Lake Show Life Lessons warned Lakers fans about Frank Vogel’s rotations in the last post-game report.

"When this site says that no one knows what Vogel is doing at times with the rotations, we really mean it. It took the entire regular season all the way to the Western Conference semifinals to halfway figure him out last year. It will take a lot longer this season folks. Buckle up."

Montrezl Harrell played a grand total of 15 minutes in this game while Marc Gasol played 20 minutes. Based on what has gone on for most of this season and what has happened lately, does this make ANY SENSE??!! It was bad enough that Brooklyn started with a small lineup that exposes Gasol for all of his defensive shortcomings and maybe Trez was not that much better.

But at least Harrell was scoring the ball on the other end. He was 4-5 in the first half while Marc Gasol is celebrated if he makes double figures in a game (For the record, he has two!) and this was not one of them.

Harrell was put on a “Wanted” poster in the post office while empty minutes was given to Markieff Morris (10 minutes, zero points, one rebound!) and Gasol.

The Los Angeles Lakers actually have a practice on Friday to prepare for the Miami Heat game on Saturday night. Maybe the coaching staff can come up with a rotation for the five spot.

The center rotation needs work. There is no excuse or justification for Gasol having more minutes than Montrezl Harrell.
