Philadelphia 76ers

Quinn Cook could join two former Los Angeles Lakers teammates

Quinn Cook could benefit from there being two members of last year’s Los Angeles Lakers team on the Philadelphia 76ers. Cook has been touted as a good locker room presence and that is something that Danny Green and Dwight Howard could attest to and lead to Cook being signed.

If there is anyone in the league that understands the importance of the three-point shot it is Daryl Morey. Morey has also made his mark on the league by bringing in role players and making the most out of them with complementary pieces.

Cook is not going to suddenly be an exceptional role player for the Philadelphia 76ers but if there is any new team that will get the most out of him, it’s Philly.

The 76ers have done a great job in reinventing the roster to better space the floor around Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid and Cook simply provides another option to continue that floor-spacing role.

Plus, it is worth mentioning that Ben Simmons is the only listed point guard on the 76ers’ roster. It’s not like Cook is some great facilitator, but that presents an opportunity for him to get some regular-season playing time.

As a great locker room guy with two separate contenders, and with former teammates to vouch for him, Cook seems like a perfect signing for the Philadelphia 76ers.
