Lake Show Life was wrong. Dennis Schroder is the real deal for the Los Angeles Lakers!

The Lake Show Life Lessons series sparked a serious debate between Lakers fans about the importance of Dennis Schroder. This writer not only thought Schroder was an overhyped addition, he thought that based on the performances in the preseason Wesley Matthews should be the starter.

Oops, guess that was wrong!

It has been well documented that the Lakers were going in the wrong direction when Dennis Schroder was out of the lineup. It’s no secret that things drastically improved after he returned.

Even though Schroder struggled with his shooting the last two games against the Warriors (3-9) and the Suns (6-17) this week, he came out on fire in this one dropping his first four shots from the field.

But it wasn’t all about shooting for “The Menace”, he was making plays for his teammates too.

This is the Dennis Schroder that had the Atlanta Hawks trading Jeff Teague out of town and locking him up with a four-year $70 million contract years ago. It looks like lightning is going to strike again. Dennis propelled his14 point first-half performance to a 28 point and 9 assist night.

The Lakers’ offense was spearheaded by only three players in this game, so it’s clear that everything Schroder provided was needed. When it got to crunch time, it was Dennis that was willing to initiate the offense and make big shots.

It was just noted that three players carried the Los Angeles Lakers most of the night. Dennis Schroder’s night was just covered. Let’s find out who the other two players were over the next couple of pages. Read on.
