Greatest Lakers of all time: 38- Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

  • 4 seasons, 258+ games, 1 title
  • 11.1 PPG
  • 37.3% three-point percentage

KCP has spent the last four seasons with the Lakers after playing his first four years for the Detroit Pistons. More than anything else, he is relied on for his three-point shooting and perimeter defense.

He is somewhat of a streaky shooter who will be hot for several straight games, then cool off considerably for others. Overall his long-distance percentage with the Lakers is an above-average 37.4%.

In the Lakers championship run of 2020, KCP replaced Avery Bradley, who had opted out, in the postseason starting lineup and was the team’s third-leading scorer, one of its best outside and free-throw shooters and an integral part of their outstanding defense.

KCP signed a three-year contract with the Lakers that runs through the 2022-23 season.
