The Los Angeles Lakers have kickstarted the second half of the season with a victory, which will hopefully be one of many victories both on the court and off.

The team is looking to pick up steam after stumbling down the stretch of the first half. Anthony Davis has missed significant time and the Lakers were very obviously impacted by the shortest offseason in American sports history.

The team got a week off, which was much needed, and is going to slowly pick up steam in the second half and hopefully get into playoff shape with a healthy Anthony Davis as the season goes along.

As far as off-the-court victories, the Los Angeles Lakers are going to be looking to make improvements before the NBA trade deadline crosses. Here are two potential veteran targets that the Los Angeles Lakers should avoid in the coming weeks.
