The Los Angeles Lakers started a five-game week with the first game of a back-to-back scenario against the Golden State Warriors on the road. Stephen Curry went crazy in the first half and the Warriors were still down 15 points. Then the Lakers locked up Steph and the game was over!

Lake Show Life breaks down what else happened in Lake Show Life Lessons! The only Los Angeles Lakers extended post-game report with in-depth analysis and highlights.

The Los Angeles Lakers rendered this Lake Show Life Lessons article nearly useless and an exercise in futility. Why? When the Lakers get focused against a bad team, there is no analysis for a dominating performance like this. The Lakers took full advantage of an injury-depleted Golden State team and based on how many players that are missing from the Lake Show, they even took that narrative away.

  • Anthony Davis is out indefinitely for his calf/Achilles injuries.
  • Marc Gasol is in the NBA’s Health and Safety protocol.
  • Alex Caruso is in the NBA’s concussion protocol.
  • Just a day prior, Jared Dudley was diagnosed with an MCL tear in his knee.

The Los Angeles Lakers should be well-rested for the second half of their back-to-back after smoking the Golden State Warriors 128-97 like a pack of Kools on their home floor.

This was a game where the Lakers took care of business blowing out a Warriors team with seemingly no consistent talent other than Stephen Curry. The frustration is starting to get to Steph via ESPN.

"“We’ve got to get sick of just getting blown out because that’s embarrassing,” Curry said. “We have to have some pride about how we’re playing. You can lose games, that’s going to happen. But not like that.”"

Maybe he’s tired of the Lakers beating up his squad. After Los Angeles let one slip away earlier this season, this is the second rout in recent weeks.

Since Lake Show Life is a fair Los Angeles Lakers website we would like to show the only highlight of the Golden State Warriors night.

But there was breaking news coming out of San Francisco. See there was an earthquake going on when the free throw was shot…according to Kyle Kuzma.

"“San Francisco had a 3.5-magnitude earthquake and (stuff) started rumbling and I don’t know, I got scared,” he cracked. “And it just went over to the far left.”"

But all jokes aside, this was a total team win for the Los Angeles Lakers that has to build confidence that they can continue to buy time and not rush back Anthony Davis. That two-week window that was reported is just not realistic. The Lakers have to figure out how to play without him for quite a while.

Bottom line, this was easily the best performance since AD has been out which the Spectrum SportsNet crew talks about here.

The Lakers (26-13) closed the gap between themselves and the No. 2 seeded Phoenix Suns with this win, but it’s no longer about chasing the top teams in the Western Conference. They now have to keep pace with the best of the Eastern Conference.

  • Philadelphia 76ers: Number one seed in the conference at 27-12. They’ve won five straight games and eight of their last ten.
  • Brooklyn Nets: Number two seed at 27-13. They are a half-game back from the Sixers and they have won five straight games that extends to nine of their last ten. They now currently own the NBA spotlight.
  • Milwaukee Bucks: Number three seed at 25-14. Giannis is starting to go triple-double crazy these days. They’ve won four straight games and you guessed it, they’ve won nine of ten games.
  • Miami Heat: Remember when injuries and COVID-19 issues left them for dead? Now they are on a roll at 21-18 with a four-game winning streak. Over their last ten games? All together now…NINE OF THEIR LAST TEN!

The Lakers close out the season series with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Lakers are 2-0 against the Timberwolves this season and need to sweep them to keep pace with all of the hot contenders around the NBA.
