Andre Drummond signing with the Los Angeles Lakers not only changes things for the Lakers but for the rest of the league as well. Can you imagine what the starting lineup will be like when LeBron James and Anthony Davis return?
Think of the depth and firepower they will have once all the pieces are together. It will be somewhat epic, to be honest. Dennis Schroder, LeBron, Davis, Drummond, and Kentavious Caldwell0Pope. Not too shabby, eh?
This also means that the bench will get stronger. Talen Horton-Tucker, Markieff Morris, Alex Caruso, Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell and more. This will of course only make the Lakers even more of a force in the NBA. When it comes to the playoffs, it will be great for them to have such depth.
The Los Angeles Lakers starting five is now the best in the league.
The signing of Andre Drummond adds a whole new dynamic to the Los Angeles Lakers, especially in terms of rebounding and defense.; both areas where the Lakers need more of an impact. Drummond’s defensive ability as well as his rebounding skills are exactly what the team needs at this point.
Thus far, Anthony Davis and LeBron have been the leaders in rebounding. With them out, we have seen Montrezl Harrel and Kyle Kuzma pick up the slack. The addition of Drummond will add a whole new advantage for the team in this area. He will help make things easier for them under the basket and of course, take the stress off of LeBron and Davis when they return.

The move also gives the Lakers another threat down low. I cannot wait until Harrell and Drummond are in the game together. They should clean up the boards nicely. Once the Lakers are at full strength, they will have the strength of something like the Great Wall Of China down low!
Hat off to the Lakers front office. Rob Pelinka and Jeanie Buss made a great move here. It will pay off big time, especially as the season winds down and the Lakers get healthier. This was clearly a precise and well-targeted move for them.
It all felt like a game of poker, to be honest when it came to the NBA trading deadline and all the moves that were being made. Pelinka and Buss played their hand quite well and then some!
This will be no doubt one of the best starting lineups in basketball as well as one of the deepest rosters. The Brooklyn Nets can keep what they have even though many have said that they have the best lineup in basketball. I strongly disagree.
The hungry dogs are all in Los Angeles as is the experience. I cannot wait to see how much trouble the Lakers cause in the NBA.
