The Los Angeles Lakers was facing a must win game knowing a loss would knock the Lakers to the 6th spot in the Western Conference. A combination of Kyle Kuzma, hot shooting guards and probably the most impactful game from Marc Gasol this season (Yep, it’s true!) sparked a blowout to start the seven game road trip.

Lake Show Life breaks down what else happened in Lake Show Life Lessons! The only Los Angeles Lakers extended post-game report with in-depth analysis and highlights.

For the last two and a half weeks, the Los Angeles Lakers owned the sixth-worst offense in the NBA. The shooting from behind the arc (33.8 percent) was even worse, the fifth-worst percentage in the league.

As a shot doctor would say… Play the Sacramento Kings and call me in the morning!

The Lakers shot 17-33 from the land of the extra point (51.5 percent!) and 47.8 percent overall as the Lake Show embarrassed the Sacramento Kings 115-94 in their own gym.

With this victory, the Lakers are now 31-18 on the season repassing the Denver Nuggets for fourth place in the Western Conference. Enjoy the moment because they are tied in the loss column with the Nuggets and the Los Angeles Clippers, who they face on Sunday. They are still a two game losing streak from the sixth spot.

Lake Show Life would like to it’s best wishes to Wesley Matthews who left the game early after crashing into the basket extension.

What’s worse is that Wesley Matthews almost sat the game out due to a neck contusion suffered in the previous Milwaukee game. Hopefully this is not a concussion, but it took several minutes for Wes to get up and he needed help to get to the locker room. Get well soon Wild Wild Wes.

For the rest of this roster, Lake Show Life gives them a ton of credit. The mental toughness of this bunch with all of the injuries has been amazing. Most teams use that tired old cliché of “Next man up”, but for this team it’s starting to be just the way it is.
