The Los Angeles Lakers spent their Easter Sunday playing their cross-hall rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers in front of a nationally televised audience. The Lakers laid enough eggs to rival the Easter Bunny as they were blown out of the Staples Center.

To any of Lakers Nation that missed the game for Easter Sunday festivities and wondered what happened against the Los Angeles Clippers,  Lake Show Life will show an illustration that summed the day up. Press play on this clip

To put this debacle in perspective, Marc Gasol was the first Laker in double figures after the third quarter (Yes, the staff triple-checked this fact!). He led all of the starters in scoring for the game!

The Los Angeles Lakers got rolled 104-86 by the Clippers.

The Lakers’ loss will affect their 4th place seeding in the Western Conference standings if the Denver Nuggets beat the Orlando Magic. No one thought the Lakers would beat the Clips without LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but playing as they would rather be somewhere else (Yes Dennis Schroder, that means YOU!) was a very bad look.

The good from the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss: (Okay we are pushing here!)

Montrezl Harrell keeps playing hard!

Trezl keeps doing what he does finishing with 19 points (7-12 shooting!) and 6 rebounds. If Dennis Schroder was not playing (More on him later!) this would not be a big deal. However, it was hard to find a player on the roster that actually competed in this game. Here’s the other one…

Talen Horton-Tucker played hard as well.

THT outplayed the rest of the guard rotation scoring 16 points (7-14 shooting!) and grabbing 5 rebounds. Most of these stats were collected after the Lakers were down 20 points or more but AT LEAST he collected these stats after the game was over.

This game ended and the Lakers’ media outlets got to enjoy the rest of their holiday.

There wasn’t much positive to talk about here Lakers fans.

The bad from the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss:

Man, the wrong Morris twin got hot!

Let’s be clear here. Markieff Morris started the game scoring well for the Lakers. By halftime, he was leading the Lake Show in scoring with 9 points on 4-7 shooting. The only problem was his brother Marcus was playing even better.

By halftime, Morris Sr. was leading everyone in scoring with 17 points on 7-9 shooting.

What’s worse? The Clippers kept feeding their Morris twin the ball to keep shooting. The Lakers threw theirs in a broom closet seemingly because Keef took a few more shots the entire game! Most of them were after the game was over.

The Lakers fell behind early and really never caught up.

With LeBron James and Anthony Davis being out, the rest of the roster does not have much of a window for scoring droughts. The Lakers picked the worst time to have theirs at the beginning of the game falling behind 10-2.

Then when the Lakers finished the first half with a 5-0 run, that quickly dissipated with a 10-0 run in the third quarter. Since the LeBron injury, the team has fallen into habits of having bad quarters scoring. There were two in this game.

The scoring by quarters? First: 20 points. Second: 18 points. Third: 17 points. Fourth: Does it really matter?

The Clippers came into the game with more talent, more depth and more cohesion. The Lakers could not afford a slow start if they wanted this game and that’s just what happened.

The offense (Or lack of belief in it!).

This game just looked like the team did not believe in themselves. They shot poorly from the 3 point line (7-23), they weren’t aggressive in attacking the basket and the ball was not moving like it was in the Sacramento game. The Lakers had a season-low of 38 points in the first half. Either this team has to believe that they can hold the fort without AD and LeBron or this will happen a lot until they come back. Confidence is paramount in the game of basketball and the Lakers did not have any.

Serge Ibaka’s outfit!

Shout out to Serge and the Clippers who tried to justify this outfit but the “Art” argument is usually brought out in times like these.

The story from the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss:

Dennis Schroder’s attitude is getting worse.

No other media outlet will say it so let Lake Show Life say it. Dennis Schroder is being counted on for leadership with the superstars being out. This just in Lakers fans, you won’t get it from him. He played terribly, argued on the floor with his teammates about defensive breakdowns and looked like the Jrue Holiday four-year extension for $160 million was on his mind.

Mark these words, Dennis Schroder is playing for his next contract and not the Los Angeles Lakers!

He finished with 8 points on 3-12 shooting. If you are Rob Pelinka, find a team to set up a sign and trade deal or let him walk and get a trade exception. Either way, let this guy walk.

The East Coast road trip this week!

The Los Angeles Lakers may slide by the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday. After that the toughest part of the schedule will be coming. On Thursday, Miami is on the schedule and as of this writing, they are riding a four-game winning streak.

Then they face the Brooklyn Nets in the Barclays Center on Saturday night who have won 12 of their last 15 games. The Lake Show needs to get close to a split on the road trip before facing the Utah Jazz in a two-game series on April 17th and 19th.

The Los Angeles Lakers are welcoming back some fans on April 15th!

The Los Angeles Lakers are finalizing plans to have fans in attendance when they play the Boston Celtics on April 15.

Frank Vogel weighed in on Friday night before the Sacramento game via ESPN.

"“That’s going to be super exciting for our whole community,”  “I know our guys, our coaches, our organization internally will be really excited about it. I think the players on the floor will notice the energy that our fans bring.“Obviously we don’t know exactly how many fans will be there yet, but just having some in there will bring us great energy, and I’m just happy for the L.A. community. It’s one of everybody’s favorite things to do is go to Lakers games, and they haven’t been able to do that during this pandemic. So just really excited about this news.”"
