LeBron James has been out of action for nine games now with a high ankle sprain that he suffered on March 20 against the Atlanta Hawks. The original timetable for return was 4-6 weeks, putting his return anywhere from April 17 to April 31.

Anthony Davis has been out since Valentine’s Day with Achilles tendinosis and the Los Angeles Lakers are hopeful that he can return at the end of the team’s current road trip… which ends on April 15 when they host the Boston Celtics.

It has been quite some time since we have seen LeBron James and Anthony Davis share the court. LeBron sent a serious warning to the rest of the NBA via his Instagram account that something dangerous is on its way.

Did we mention that LeBron James is suddenly a weatherman?

The rest of the league should be worried about when LeBron James and Anthony Davis return.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been the butt of some jokes in recent weeks. The team has not looked great without its superstars and got blowout by the rival Los Angeles Clippers on Easter Sunday.

That will all change once LeBron and Davis return. When healthy, the Los Angeles Lakers are still the favorites to represent the Western Conference in the NBA Finals and have the second-best odds to win the title.

Sure, there are some issues that could hinder the team in the NBA Playoffs, but every team has to deal with an assortment of issues. When it comes to pure talent, the Lakers have the best 1-2 duo in the entire league.

LeBron and AD have played 84 games together thus far and have a record of 62-22 in the regular season. If we count the playoffs, the Lakers are 77-27 (.740) when LeBron and AD play together.

If the Lakers post  a.740 winning percentage and LeBron return on April 17 with Anthony Davis then they will finish the season on a 12-4 run. That should be enough to climb back up the standings as the Lakers currently are the fifth seed in the Western Conference.
