Los Angeles Lakers: 4 Lessons in an overtime thriller over Utah Jazz
By Ronald Agers
Los Angeles Lakers fans… Enjoy the win on Saturday and worry about Monday when it comes!
This probably was the most entertaining game the Los Angeles Lakers played this season. On paper, it shouldn’t have been. An early matinee game like this would have been ignored to enjoy the spring weather.
If anyone read the injury report from both teams before the game, it easily was on the mind of most outside of the hardcore fans. If the decision to watch the game was the final one, it was three hours of screaming on couches, at TV sets or phones. How many of you lost you minds when Montrezl Harrell climbed the ladder on the entire ABC/ESPN network for a dunk?
This was a great game to watch and an even better conversation in the post-game comment section from readers.
Slick:
"Great game, great write up! Nailed everything Ron! We hit the snooze button for a sec late, and almost blew it. Great job of stepping up in the overtime. Man..I think you are low key submitting pieces to motivate guys…hmm. Schroder piece, Drummond piece? We know your MO! I’m feeling a potential Lakers fan developing here! LOL"
Corky Carroll:
"Just wanted to say that this is one of the best comments sessions of the year…. the A team is rockin. go Ron."
Nope, this writer will not be converted into a Lakers fan (Knicks baby!), but you do have to be invested. This is why the Lake Show Life Lessons series has been so popular for three seasons now. In times like these with a pandemic going on, things are starting to look up for everyone with fans back in the Staples Center.
Lake Show Life has some advice for Lakers Nation: Enjoy the journey and don’t take for granted the Los Angeles Lakers are the World Champs!
After the final Lessons piece was posted after the Lakers won the Finals, the staff made it a point to enjoy the moment because you never know what might happen.
As you read this, this is one of those times. Your team upset the number one seed in the Western Conference. It doesn’t matter who was there or not. Los Angeles beat Utah. That’s all that matters.
This website claims to have the 99 percent of the best Lakers fans on the planet (You always have that one that tries to wreck the party!) with the deepest understanding of the game of basketball.
But we should all have this energy when discussing Lakers basketball.
So as you read this, close your eyes for a second and remind yourself that the Los Angeles Lakers are the 17 time World Champions.
Worry about the next Utah Jazz matchup around game time tomorrow.
Lake Show Life has extended its post-game coverage this season! There will be short post-game reports shortly after the game in addition to the extended post-game of Lake Show Life Lessons!
More championship coverage for championship fans.
