LeBron James has the perfect response for a heckler at Wizards game

LeBron James is not just the face of the Los Angeles Lakers, not just the face of basketball, but the face of American sports. When you are as prominent as LeBron is not only in sports but in culture, you are naturally going to collect a hater or two down the road.

LeBron is still out of action with a high ankle sprain that he suffered on March 20 against the Atlanta Hawks. LeBron is set to make his return to action soon in pursuit of his fifth championship.

Yet still, the haters that LeBron has collected over the years are letting him hear it for only the second significant injury of his career. While visiting the Washington Wizards, LeBron was called a big baby by someone in the arena.

LeBron, being the comedian that he is, had the perfect response to this taunt.

I guess that is one strategy to have… acknowledge the heckler and go along with the joke. It definitely worked, as everyone around the person taking the video laughed at LeBron’s perfectly timed response.

This is not the first time that LeBron James has responded to hecklers.

As mentioned, LeBron James has picked up plenty of haters throughout the years and he has had a number of run-ins with hecklers in his long 16-year career. Just two months ago he got into it with a fan while playing the Atlanta Hawks, even getting the fan ejected.

LeBron dubbed the heckler “courtside Karen” and it definitely made its rounds throughout the internet.

Heck, sometimes it is not even fans that heckle LeBron and get him going. The Lakers took on the Cleveland Cavaliers back in January and a Cavs’ employee did the last thing that you want to do: make LeBron James angry.

LeBron confirmed after the game that it was a member of the front office who was “a little too excited to see (LeBron) miss.” While it never came out what that employee said, LeBron responded by scoring 21 points in the final frame, outscoring the Cavaliers in the process.

Of course, there was also the incident in the 2015 NBA Finals in which a (presumably) Warriors fan called LeBron James something that they would not say in front of their grandmothering. I won’t link it here, but just know that the video is NSFW.

This time was not so bad and LeBron James had some fun with it at the expense of the fan that was heckling him. Perhaps his heckling days are over — he hit the jackpot.
