There is no doubt that the Los Angeles Lakers have struck gold with Talen Horton-Tucker. THT has had himself a very interesting season indeed.

If you have been watching closely this year, he has come along well and developed. Of course, there is still work to be done for him as he continues to grow and mature in this current NBA game, but there is no doubt that he is a multi-talented player that has a very bright future.

In two games against the New York Knicks and the Houston Rockets, two games in which the Lakers won, Talen Horton-Tucker played very well. Against the Knicks, he filled in for Alex Caruso, who left the game with a leg injury. THT finished with 13 points, 10 assists, and 5 rebounds. Very nice and respectable numbers for the second-year guard.

THT looked to be in very good form as he helped the Lakers win in overtime, hitting the game-winning shot in the process. Against the Rockets, a game in which he started his fourth game of the season, he was once again in great form, scoring 23 points (one point under his season-high) with 10 assists.

Talen Horton-Tucker had another solid game against Indiana and was quiet against New Orleans, but the two great games against New York and Houston proved something Laker fans already know.

Talen Horton-Tucker has so many great things going for him and the Los Angeles Lakers are lucky.

THT can dish the ball and run the floor as well as spot up for the jumper and penetrate in the lane and rebound. What is there not to like about him? Sure, he has to make improvements as there have been times when he has appeared shaky but that is to be expected as he is only 20 years old and in his second year.

With his growth and knowledge of the game continuing to increase, the Lakers could possibly seek to move Kyle Kuzma eventually or not make another offer to Dennis Schroder in the offseason.

There are plenty of options for the Lakers when it comes to this young man. He is only going to improve as he will continue to work in the offseason on his game. Playing next to LeBron James has helped him to grow as well as being called on to be a contributor with the injuries the team suffered this year.

The Lakers must think very highly of him as he has been called on to take the last shot or distribute and then some. The Lakers know they have something special in Talen Horton-Tucker and they most likely will look to make him a prime player for the organization in the future.
