So it was a very interesting season was it not? We saw this Los Angeles Lakers team start off like a bullet and role through the NBA, and then unfortunately we saw the injury bug bite the Lakers hard and give them a headache.

Going through the season, there were many good points and bad points as there always are. Let us go through the team player-by-player and evaluate them further and give them a proper letter grading.

Los Angeles Lakers grades, the superstars:

LeBron James: A

He was rolling hardcore before his ankle injury. James finished the season averaging 25 points a game, 7.8 assists per game and 7.7 rebounds per game. Not too bad for a 36-year old huh? He also shot 36% from three-point as it was the fourth-highest total of his career.

Still the best overall player in basketball, James will be ready to go when the postseason comes. Everyone knows he is on a journey to leave his legacy in Los Angeles as well as far past his playing days.

He does not play like a typical 36-year-old at all and will only continue to keep surging forward. James demands the most from his team as he knows firsthand what it takes to accomplish what the Lakers have to. This could be the finest time of his career.

Anthony Davis: A-

Davis was having himself a solid season when he went down with the calf injury that ruined most of the season for him. He is such a valuable piece of the puzzle on both sides of the floor and he will be an integral part of the team during this postseason.

One of the most clutch players in all of basketball, he averaged 21.8 points per game which is the second-lowest of his career and 7.9 rebounds per game which is the lowest of his career.  He also had a career-low field goal percentage of just 49%.

Look, Davis is the anchor of this team for sure. Whenever he was out of the lineup or not playing well, it hurt the team big time. He is an ever so valuable type of player that scores from inside, hits long jumpers and three-point shots, plays defense, and grabs rebounds.

In the playoffs, he will be one of the most valuable players in all of the league. Make no mistake, that he is one of the greatest players in all of the NBA bar none!
