Los Angeles Lakers grades, off-court:

Devontae Cacock, Alfonzo McKinnie, Kostas Antetokounmpo, and Jared Dudley: INC

To be quite fair and honest, they didn’t get enough playing time to honestly evaluate them. A lot of these guys didn’t get the chance to play or were injured.

Frank Vogel: A

Vogel did the best he could this season with all that went on. He helped keep the core of this team nice and tight and kept working hard to find the right way to utilize the players during the crazy times of the injuries.

Vogel has established himself as one of the best basketball minds in the NBA as well as being one with a lot of heart and fight for his team. I love it when he gets into the refs. I feel he is one of the few underrated coaches still in the league.

Vogel is a very cerebral coach who has helped this team to be the best defensive team in the NBA. His ability to mix and match players is one of the many excellent traits that he possesses. Most importantly, this team loves playing for him.

Rob Pelinka: A

Pelinka did a great job at getting the Los Angeles Lakers the players they needed. Especially adding Schroder, Harrell, and Drummond. Those were all solid moves as they only helped this team during the rocky season.

He also didn’t make a silly move come the trade deadline or do a rushed move that could have possibly hurt the team in the long run. He is establishing himself as a very fine general manager in the NBA.

Pelinka has a player’s background, so he has a very good idea first hand of each and every player’s ability and their places on this team.

From a business standpoint, he has done a great job at recruiting talent as well as making very good moves and bringing along good and young talent such as Talen Horton-Tucker as well as sticking with and believing in existing talent such as the great Alex Caruso.
