After a bumpy start in the series, the Los Angeles Lakers bounced back in the series against the Phoenix Suns. The biggest reason for the Lakers’ demise in Game 1 of the series was the poor form by Anthony Davis and LeBron James.

The two superstars realized that and have simply been amazing in Game 2 and Game 3 of the series. Although the job is not done yet, things are certainly looking good for the Lakers. AD has now scored 30+ points in back-to-back games while LBJ is focusing on playmaking for the betterment of the team.

Stephen A. Smith writes off Los Angeles Lakers back-to-back wins as lucky victories

With a 2-1 lead in the series, the purple and gold are just two wins away from advancing to the next round. While most fans are extremely positive that it’s the result of their hard work. Stephen A. has opposed this point. In fact, he called the team extremely lucky in a recent video.

According to Stephen A. Smith, the Los Angeles Lakers have “luck raining down on them”.

There might be some truth behind Stephen A’s words, but the Lakers are not completely dependent on luck. Despite not having their two superstars healthy for the majority of the season, the Lakers found a way to stay competitive. They qualified for the play-in tournament and then made it to the NBA playoffs as the seventh-seeded team.

Can the Los Angeles Lakers finish the series in five games?

It is truly unfortunate that Chris Paul once again injured himself in the playoffs. He has completely revamped the team this season and helped them reach the second seed in the stacked Western Conference.

Without him at his 100%, it is hard to see the Phoenix Suns stopping LeBron and the Lakers in their path. Additionally, Anthony Davis is finally playing like himself and dominating the paint like he’s expected to do.

Unless the Suns find a way to fill the gap left by Chris Paul, the Lakers should win the series in five or six games.

But the real question is, can the team repeat last year’s success in the postseason? Let us know your views in the comments section down below.
