The Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns have produced a thrilling series so far in the 2021 NBA playoffs. Currently, both sides have two victories under their belt and the Suns have found a new surge of momentum after their victory in Game 4.

Heading into the game, the Lakers were considered heavy fan favorites as Suns’ Chris Paul struggled from an injury. However, the Suns didn’t let the media or fans distract them and played at an elite level.

They had some luck on their side as Lakers’ superstar Anthony Davis injured himself in the first half. Due to an unfortunate injury, AD missed the rest of the game, which leveled up the field for the Suns.

As expected, Deandre Ayton took full advantage of Davis’ absence and dominated the paint for the rest of the game. With the Lakers losing their lead, winning Game 5 becomes even more crucial as Davis could miss the next game as well.

LeBron James is ready to carry the team on his shoulder

Since making his debut in the league, LeBron James has been known for his incredible ability to carry the team on his back come playoff time. He has done that on several occasions and it seems like the King has to do it once again.

But he is no longer the freak train he once used to be as he will turn 37 by the end of this year. Despite that, the 4-time NBA champion agreed to carry the team on his back in the post-game conference.

What’s next for LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers?

There is no need to press the panic button just now, but winning the next game in the series will definitely give the team a huge sigh of relief. Their entire 2020-21 campaign has been full of injury troubles and making it very difficult for them to defend their title.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to LeBron James and how he can lead the team without Anthony Davis at his full strength.
