Tony Snell, Atlanta Hawks

Tony Snell does not have a massive role on the surprise Atlanta Hawks but he does do what the team needs him to do: hit three-point shots. The NBA now revolves around the three-point shot and having a role player that can hit shots at the rate that Snell does is great for any contender to have.

Snell is not a guy who is going to get big minutes off the bench and quite frankly that is a good thing for the Lakers as his price is going to be low as a result. While not a massive role player, he is someone who can get hot and go off on a heat check off the bench.

And as we saw last year in the playoffs, particularly from players such as Markieff Morris, 2-3 big threes off the bench can swing a game. Some knockdown threes from someone like Snell could help turn a good run for the Lakers into a great one.

Snell shot an astonishing, just wait for it, 52.9% from beyond the arc this season. He only played 47 games and only took 109 threes but that is still extremely impressive. In fact, that is the highest three-point percentage in a single season in NBA history, with at least 100 attempts.

If you are not impressed by only 109 attempts don’t worry, Snell is a career 39.7% three-point shooter and is shooting 41.8% over his last 1,190 attempts (five seasons).
