PJ Tucker, Milwaukee Bucks

PJ Tucker is not going to be an offensive addition for the Los Angeles Lakers and he is the kind of signing that might not totally make sense in the regular season but the second the team gets to the playoffs it will all make sense.

That is exactly what has happened thus far for the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks brought in PJ Tucker via trade and his impact on the playoffs have been felt. He is the only player on the Bucks that had a lick of success in guarding Kevin Durant, although Durant still did Durant things.

Tucker is a veteran minimum candidate (even if we left him off the list we made) and would not hurt the Lakers money-wise at all. He may not play much during the regular season and his box score is not going to be pretty but every team needs a player like Tucker that can be that pesky defensive forward.

Whether he is playing the four or playing small-ball center in the right matchup, Tucker would provide the Lakers more veteran savviness and fit into the team’s defensive identity. For the price they would pay, that is more than worth it.

There is a reason why the Bucks traded for Tucker and stuck him on the best scorer on the planet in Kevin Durant. He is valuable.
