It is hard to complain about the job that Rob Pelinka has done with the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers utilized Magic Johnson’s short tenure with the front office to lure LeBron James to LA and Pelinka did the rest, pulling off the trade for Anthony Davis and surrounding the stars with the right pieces to win the NBA Championship.

While Pelinka has done a very solid job in setting the team up for success now and in the future, he has not been perfect in his role. Pelinka has made some mistakes that he probably would go back and change, especially after the Lakers fell short in the 2021 NBA Playoffs.

Perhaps Rob Pelinka has to study ‘Loki’ to make changes to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Marvel Studios’ ‘Loki’ is the hottest thing in streaming right now as it enters its sixth and final episode next Wednesday. The Marvel fans reading this don’t need an explanation, but the show deals with time travel and making sure the flow of time remains intact.

In the show, there is the Time Variance Authority (TVA) that has the ability to go into any point in time and make changes if needed. If Rob Pelinka joined Owen Wilson on the TVA then there are definitely some changes he would make to ensure the Lakers had their own “sacred timeline”.

Hindsight is always 20/20, so we cannot fully blame Pelinka, but there are three changes, in particular, that stick out like a sore thumb.
