It is likely that this offseason will be a big one for the Los Angeles Lakers as any offseason is with a LeBron James-led team.

The Lakers are coming off a season in which the team fell greatly short of their goals.

Heading into the season, the Lakers were reigning NBA champions with arguably the deepest and most talented roster in the entire league.

Despite this, the team was ravaged with injuries through almost the entirety of the season.

Both Anthony Davis and LeBron James missed a substantial amount of time and games due to injuries.

This led to the two not having much time to gain on-court chemistry with players who were added to the team over the 2020 offseason.

As a result of this, the Lakers finished the regular season as the 7th seed, which is very low when taking into account the talent the roster has.

Every season since James joined the team, major moves have been made and the roster has been almost unrecognizable from the season before. The biggest move of them all being the blockbuster trade that landed the Lakers superstar power forward Anthony Davis.

Only two years since the trade for Davis, and the Lakers are looking to pull another rabbit out of their hat and complete a trade that can net them another championship run.

There are three players that the Los Angeles Lakers must avoid trading for at all costs.

While a big move may be necessary for them, trading for the wrong player could end any chance of winning another championship during the LeBron James era.
