4. Terry Rozier adds shooting to the Los Angeles Lakers
Everyone agrees that the Los Angeles Lakers need to upgrade their 3-point shooting, and Rozier would help with that.
He hit 38.9 percent of his attempts from downtown this season, and for his career, he has shot 37.6 percent from deep.
By contrast, Schroder was generally poor from beyond the arc. Although he improved late in the season, he made only 33.5 percent of his 3-point shots for the season, which is anemic.
In addition to his strong outside shooting, Rozier has improved his mid-range game. This year he made 56.4 percent of his shots from 10-16 feet, which is outstanding.
Hitting at a strong clip from downtown and the ability to go on hot streaks from the outside are absolutely integral traits in today’s NBA.
Other than Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, L.A. lacks guys who are great 3-point shooters, let alone guys who are always prone to get red-hot from downtown and stay hot for a while.
Rozier seems to have that ability. In both January and February, he shot better than 44 percent from the land of plenty.
