While the NBA Finals have only finished, the Los Angeles Lakers have been in the war room focusing on what their next step will be in order to get LeBron James and Anthony Davis back to the NBA Finals.

They came up short this season. Injuries robbed the Lakers and numerous other teams of a chance to really compete for a title.

At the end of the day, Giannis and the Bucks’ relatively clean bill of health (well-deserved win) were victorious and brought the franchise a 2nd ever title back to Milwaukee, following in the footsteps of Lew Alcindor (now known as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar).

So what can the Los Angeles Lakers do now to get themselves back in the championship hunt?

Names such as Buddy Hield, Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, and even former Laker Lonzo Ball have been brought up in discussions.

One name that is fresh of the presses is that of former MVP and current Washington Wizards point guard Russell Westbrook.

The triple-double King is seemingly considering his future in Washington should Bradley Beal look for a trade.

With many considered Westbrook’s contract to be amongst the worst contracts in the NBA, could the Los Angeles Lakers land Westbrook relatively inexpensively (Asset capital wise)?

Could Russell Westbrook join LeBron James and Anthony Davis in LA?
