The Los Angeles Lakers have not only been the most active contending team this offseason, but they have arguably been the most active NBA team when it comes to adding new players on the roster.

That is because the Lakers were forced to sign nearly a completely new roster after trading for Russell Westbrook. The Lakers parted ways with Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to get that deal done.

With Westbrook in town, the Lakers suddenly needed to build out a complete roster and did not have much money to do so. That did not stop Rob Pelinka from going to work, and after just two days of NBA free agency, the Lakers have 12 players on the roster (not counting the two potential two-way players).

The Los Angeles Lakers have not been perfect in free agency, though.

Pelinka has done a fantastic job, don’t get me wrong. He has dang-near to a 4.0 GPA when it comes to his grades for the 2021 offseason. With that being said, there are still some changes I personally would have made to avoid some of the moves that might end up being mistakes.

Obviously, I hope I am wrong and I hope that these three mistakes end up being three great decisions by Pelinka, but right now, they look to be mistakes.
