1. Paul Millsap

Paul Millsap is definitely the best player on this list and it would fit the trend of the Los Angeles Lakers surprising people with who they brought on. There are some big-name free agents that the Lakers signed that many thought would go for above the minimum value.

Paul Millsap is not going to get some big multi-year contract but he definitely can get an offer that is above the minimum. However, when it comes to taking the minimum from a contender or taking $3 million more from a bad team, Millsap, like others, may choose the former.

This is especially true considering the fact that Millsap has never won a championship, let alone played in the NBA Finals.

Millsap would give the Los Angeles Lakers another former all-star and would really help the depth of this team. While Millsap is not the same guy that he used to be, he is overqualified to be a 15 minutes per night option, which is what he would be on the Lakers.

He averaged just over 20 minutes per game with the Denver Nuggets last season and was just fine. Millsap averaged 9.0 points and 4.7 rebounds per game while playing serviceable defense.

The Lakers have a lot of wild cards with so many veterans so getting the best veteran power forward could be huge in case others don’t step up.
