The Los Angeles Lakers have made a huge splash in free agency through the first two days.

This may have been out of necessity considering that heading into free agency and after the Russell Westbrook trade, there were only a handful of players under contract.

However, through the first two days, Los Angeles has brought in seven players. Some of which are familiar faces to the team as they have spent time playing for the Lakers in previous seasons.

Heading into the free agency period, there was a clear need for shooting on the team. They knocked that out of the park with signings of Malik Monk and Wayne Ellington.

The Lakers started off with back-to-back-to-back signings of Trevor Ariza, Ellington, and Kent Bazemore. They followed that up on day two by officially bringing in Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony, Monk, and Kendrick Nunn.

The roster is starting to really come together and Laker fans should be more relieved than they were heading into free agency.

Although the team may end up being the oldest in the league, they have the pieces necessary to make another run at the NBA title.

Each of the players that the Los Angeles Lakers signed can make major contributions to the teams’ success.

Although they missed out on some of the bigger targets they had, this is still a very respectable free agency class for the Lakers and there could be some more moves yet to come in the next few days.
