LaMarcus Aldridge was viewed as a potential buyout target for the Los Angeles Lakers last season after he parted ways with the San Antonio Spurs. Instead, Aldridge signed with the Brooklyn Nets with the hopes of winning his first championship.

Unfortunately, Aldridge was seemingly dealt a premature ending to his career. He was forced to retire before the playoffs began due to issues with an irregular heartbeat. It was a truly sad story, which, fortunately, may have a happier twist on the horizon.

Aldridge is reportedly seriously considering a return to the NBA after further medical consultation. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Aldridge would still need a team’s medical staff to sign off on the move.

It would be great to see Aldridge return to do what he loves as there should be a market for him. In fact, there should be a market for him with a contending team.

The Los Angeles Lakers might just be the perfect fit for LaMarcus Aldridge.

Of course, his health is the most important and a move should only be made if it is completely safe. If it is deemed safe I would not be surprised if the Lakers are the team that signs him.

The Lakers have been very active in signing minimum players, most of which are former all-stars, to fill out the roster. Aldridge would fit that M-O perfectly and with roster spots remaining there is room for the five-time All-NBA forward.

Let’s break down why LA might be the perfect landing spot for Aldridge.
