The question should be why shouldn’t the Los Angeles Lakers sign JJ Redick? How can you not like JJ? He would be the finishing piece the Lakers could use for their revamped roster. In my opinion, it would be the tastiest icing on the cake. A player like JJ Redick would fit in perfectly. He would add another dimension to the team.
JJ Redick is one of those many types of players that you can’t help but love. He seems to always bring a hard-working and positive attitude to whatever team he goes and plays for. Far from being a selfish player, Redick is always giving his all and playing hard.
A well-balanced journeyman with years of experience, Redick is at the point in his career where playing for a team that is one of the top teams in the NBA and is making a run at a title would be perfect for him and his very impressive playing career.
MUST-READ: 3 free agents the Lakers will regret not signing
Redick is quite the cerebral player. We have seen that during his time in the NBA he has always been one of the more smart players that figures out his role within the team in which he is playing. He can shoot the long ball, is a very good passer, and is an all-around solid player. Redick hustles which is always impressive to watch in today’s game where we see that some of the time that aspect seems to have been left behind.
There is no doubt that the Lakers’ new roster has changed the face of basketball not only in Los Angeles but in the NBA as well, and we all know they have nothing else in mind other than winning it all. At this point, might as well go all in and get Redick. Especially after they didn’t sign Danny Green and Andre Iguodala. Redick fits the role of a crafty and smart veteran that can still perform at a high level.
It would be great to see JJ Redick on the well-stacked and talented Los Angeles Lakers roster.
He can still start if needed to but would probably be better as a sixth man or just coming off the bench. Redick would have no trouble playing within the Los Angeles Lakers system. I think that he would be a player that the others would love to play with.
He would be one of the players that would come off of the bench and provide a spark for the team when in need or the type that would put the dagger in the opposing team. Redick can handle the ball in the frontcourt as he is quite quick with his feet.
The Lakers could use a player that pushes the ball up and down the court especially after Alex Caruso left for Chicago. He is also good at coming off the screen to shoot the deep ball. They could use another shooter at this point to be quite honest.
Redick is one of the many two-way players that can play dual roles for the Lakers. This would of course only benefit them as they have a few that already fit that mold.
