The Los Angeles Lakers had a bit of a trend this offseason in who they signed in free agency. We all knew heading into free agency that the Lakers were restricted financially and would sign veteran minimum guys, what we did not expect was for the team to sign so many former Lakers.

Wayne Ellington, Trevor Ariza, Dwight Howard and Kent Bazemore were all brought back for another stint with the Lakers. In the case of Howard, it is his third.

Most Laker fans probably know about the former Lakers who are still on the market that the team could sign. Avery Bradley is a popular name floating around right now as is DeMarcus Cousins, even though the Lakers should not pursue him.

The Los Angeles Lakers could instead pursue two young former Lakers who are still available.

These are not the biggest names on the market and there is a good chance that you personally did not even realize they were available to sign.

We know that the Lakers have a great eye for scouting talent late in the draft and developing said talent. That is why it makes sense for the team to target a young free agent at this point in free agency over a veteran who is just there for locker room reasons.

Here are the two young former Lakers that would make sense on this new-look Lakers team.
