With the amount of talent the Los Angeles Lakers now have on their roster, you know that they are expected to win it all. This upcoming season will be the ultra test for certain players. The good thing is that there are no excuses that can be made for them if they do not win it all.

One cannot say they did not have the talent. That being said, the injury bug wiped them out last season but Rob Pelinka and Jeanie Buss have made the moves to make sure that even if that same bug resurfaces, the team will still have enough players to help the team stabilize.

However, for players like LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, and Carmelo Anthony, this upcoming season will be the ultimate test for them individually.

The importance of the Los Angeles Lakers winning a title for Russell Westbrook:

One of the best players in the NBA as well as one of the most talented. He can do it all as he is a triple-double machine. Night after night we see him hustling up and down the court and giving his all. With all these great things going on for him, this is his third team in three years.

He helped the Thunder get to the playoffs multiple times and even helped get them to the NBA Finals where they lost to the Miami Heat in 2011-2012. There is nothing else for him to do other than to win a title.

The timing is perfect for him as he is on the right team. With the kind of star power they have and knowing what he is capable of night after night, there is no reason why Westbrook and the Lakers should not cruise through the regular season. There are of course those critics concerned that there is not enough ball for him, LeBron, and Anthony Davis.

After all, they are three types of players that have been the focal point of the other teams they have played on in the past. Westbrook has always been the conductor of the train as has LeBron, Davis, and Carmelo when he was younger. The Lakers already are able to have things going well for them as they have found a way for both LeBron and Davis to co-exist.

The question now is, can Westbrook fit into the mold? Does he have to adjust his game or will he come and play the same way we have seen him go in these past seasons where he has been amazing. Winning a title this season would be the ultimate positive for him and help add a notch on his belt for his career.
