The Los Angeles Lakers were very busy over the first two days of free agency following the massive Russell Westbrook trade. Rob Pelinka had to get quick to work to build out a roster that was limited financially and had to fill a lot of open spots.

Pelinka did a great job in building out the roster. Not only did he get some of the best veterans who fit the Lakers’ needs but he also hit on some surprising young signings, such as Malik Monk and Kendrick Nunn.

There was the luxury tax causality of letting Alex Caruso walk as the team instead decided to bring back Talen Horton-Tucker. While Caruso is the more impactful player right now, the future is with THT.

As it stands today, there are 12 players on the Los Angeles Lakers roster. NBA teams are permitted 15 players, meaning that the Lakers have three more potential spots to fill in free agency.

There definitely is a best-case scenario for the Los Angeles Lakers’ final three roster spots.

Your best-case scenario may differ from my best-case scenario which might differ from the Lakers’ best-case scenario. Heck, Jared Dudley seems like he is a shoe-in to get signed just because he is such a good presence in the locker room and I can tell you he is not included in this article.

If everything goes right and the Lakers want to maximize the talent on the roster, here are the three free agency moves the team should make for the final three roster spots.
