You can never have too much experience right? Paul Millsap has loads of experience. Fifteen NBA seasons to be exact. He would fit in well with this current Los Angeles Lakers team that is made up of veterans with loads of experience as well. Is there a chance the Lakers could possibly Paul Millsap? Why not?

Millsap has always been a well-respected player throughout the league. He has always played with hustle and heart and helped whatever team he was on even as he has gotten older and his stats have dwindled a bit but yet he contributes as he knows his role.

There is no doubt that Paul Millsap can still contribute. He may not average as many points per game as he once did but he can also rebound, play defense and he plays hard. Millsap is also a very unselfish and smart player who knows how to pace himself and add what is lacking for a team. That being said, he is still valuable.

He has enjoyed a very good career averaging 13.7 points and 7.2 rebounds. In 2015-16 he was named to the NBA All-Defensive Team and has been a four-time NBA All-Star. He previously was a valuable part of the Denver Nuggets, playing the role of the well-experienced veteran who was a mentor to many of their young players such as Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr., and Nikola Jovic.

Another good thing about him is he can start or come off the bench making himself very flexible. Paul Millsap is a great role player that runs the floor well and always seems to be helpful.

Paul Millsap might be what the Los Angeles Lakers could use.

Even though they have a roster loaded with many years of experience in LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis and Carmelo Anthony, it couldn’t hurt to have a player like Millsap who at this point in his career is most definitely looking to win an NBA Title. The Lakers could use another defensive player on the roster as we know how important defense has been for the Lakers and head coach Frank Vogel.

The Lakers would most likely be able to get him to sign a one-year deal and at that rate, it wouldn’t really hurt both parties because it would be a great thing for him to play for a team such as the Lakers and for them to have another solid veteran. I’m sure he has the Lakers on his list for teams he wants to play for.

Who knows if the Nuggets will resign him as they have resigned various other free agents during the NBA offseason. That being said I am sure a team will sign Millsap at some point before the season begins.

It is something I am sure the Los Angeles Lakers are considering being that they have some roster spots to fill.
