The Los Angeles Lakers are still less than a calendar year away from winning the 2020 NBA Championship but the taste that is lingering in the team’s mouth is the taste of defeat. That is why Rob Pelinka got to work and conducted a bold offseason.

The Lakers made the biggest move of the entire offseason by trading for former MVP, Russell Westbrook. The Lakers certainly have the star power and are many people’s favorites to win the Western Conference.

You can definitely make the case that the Lakers are in an extremely exclusive tier with the Brooklyn Nets. With all due respect to the Milwaukee Bucks, it is the Lakers, the Nets and then everyone else.

You could cash in on a Los Angeles Lakers-Brooklyn Nets potential NBA Finals matchup.

Both the Lakers and the Nets are the favorites in their respective conferences and over on WynnBET you can place a wager that the two teams will square off against each other in the NBA Finals.

The odds are pretty good as well and it feels like a free money bet waiting to happen. The odds that we have a Lakers-Nets NBA Finals has been set at +320, meaning that every $100 bet wins an additional $320 in return.

This is a pretty solid bet and while anything can happen with these long-term future bets, this is as surefire as it gets for a bet that has plus odds. This is just like the Golden State Warriors-Cleveland Cavaliers matchups for four straight years. Bettors could have cashed in then and can cash in similarly now.

The only thing that can derail this bet from hitting are injuries. If both the Lakers and Nets stay relatively healthy then they should be squaring off against each other in the NBA Finals. There is simply too much talent on either team to see them losing in a playoff series before the NBA Finals.

And if it really gets down to it and the Nets or Lakers have a Game 7 in the Conference Finals then you can hedge your bet and at least get your money back by betting the other side. I am never one to hedge, but it is a possibility.

This is like a stock market investment. Don’t overthink it, put your money in it and let it sit. Eventually it will pay dividends to the tune of 3.2 times what you put into it.
