The Los Angeles Lakers travel in-state to take on the Sacramento Kings to close out the preseason. The Lakers have lost four-straight games and will have one last opportunity to secure a win before opening the regular season on Oct. 19 against the Golden State Warriors. There’s no need to panic because it’s just the preseason. That point has been hounded into the ground by Lake Show Life, but it’s been necessary due to the extreme overreactions.

It’s far more reasonable to look at what’s gone wrong in the preseason and analyze the chances of those same issues carrying over into the regular season. The season-opener is five nights away, so time is running out for Los Angeles. Now’s been the time to experiment with lineups with no true repercussion.

There’s three Los Angeles Lakers players that need to have a big game against the Kings.

The Lakers have already been hit with injuries. For a team that created a relatively brand new lineup during the offseason, it’s been hard to establish chemistry during the first part of the year. The Big Three made their debut on Tuesday night and are expected to take the court together again on Thursday.

The odds aren’t in the purple and gold’s favor tonight. The Kings have won all three of their preseason games and it’s looking as if that trend will continue against Los Angeles. Lakers fans need to take solace in something between now and the five days that remain until opening night.
