One stud on the Los Angeles Lakers: LeBron James

LeBron James is one of the best players in the history of the NBA, but his performance on Tuesday was still incredible. James led the team with 34 points and five assists, and shot 13-for-23 from the field and 5-of-11 from three. He and Anthony Davis each had a team-high 11 rebounds. There’s something that the stat line isn’t able to properly convey and it’s the high-level of intensity that LeBron played with.

We should all know by now to not be fooled by thinking that James’ level of play is declining at the age of 36, but that doesn’t make it any less shocking. It’s his 19th year in the league and he’s still at the top of his game. Father Time can’t touch LeBron.

James and Davis, who is honorable mention for the stud, combined for 67 points, 22 rebounds and seven assists. Is there a better duo in the NBA? LeBron can’t win games alone, or with AD, so the Lakers are going to have to be able to rely on their supporting cast. However, with James at the helm, Los Angeles is in good hands.

Somehow LeBron received zero MVP votes in a preseason poll, but he’s already gotten the last laugh.
