The bad from the Los Angeles Lakers’ win:

The first quarter!

Oh, the stench from the OKC loss carried over into the first quarter of this one. Man the Los Angeles Lakers were terrible. They ended the quarter down 28-21 but here’s where the real problems lie.

  • The Cavaliers ended the quarter on a 12-0 run.
  • The Lakers gave up seven offensive rebounds in the first twelve minutes.
  • The Lakers turned the ball over ten times which led to 12 Cavaliers points.
  • The lead should have been bigger than seven points but Cleveland has a player named Lamar Stevens that blew three layups under the basket at point blank range.

It didn’t stop there. The Cavs scored on ten consecutive possessions at one point in the first half.

Look the Lake Show Life staff knows that this is a Lakers website but the Cavs missed layups…free throws…dunks…got their layups pinned to the backboards…

There was a funny quote from Lamar Stevens that he said to NBA.com.

"Yes, my grandma still … texts me after every game. Actually, she texts me every day. But she especially makes sure to hit me after every game. She watches every game."

Well, Grandma is definitely going to be texting about those layups he missed. No check that, she’ll text the entire Cavaliers team. They all missed a ton of layups. Evan Mobley missed a dunk and Collin Sexton tried to drive for a layup like he had never seen the Game 7 highlights of the 2016 NBA Finals. Well, LeBron James gave him the “Chase Down Block” experience.

Anthony Davis got in foul trouble in the first half!

AD still got his numbers but foul trouble kept him from a huge night. The Lakers found a serious mismatch with him and Lauri Markkanen. Davis was working him down low very well before he picked up three fouls with three minutes left in the second quarter. He finished with 15 points and numerous defensive plays, but this could have been a 40 point night.

LeBron James came crashing down to Earth from behind the 3 point line!

Enjoy the visual…

He missed the other nine and finished 1-10.
