Los Angeles Lakers: 3 weaknesses that must be fixed for a title run

The new-look Los Angeles Lakers have had an interesting start to the 2021-22 season. Thus far, the Lakers are 4-3 in their first seven games, which might not seem all that bad for a new team that is still figuring out its identity.

While things will get better as the Lakers learn what kind of team they are and when they get injured players back, the start thus far has been underwhelming. The Lakers have had one of the easiest opening schedules in the NBA and should be better than 4-3.

However, there is plenty of time for the Lakers to figure it out and improve, so it is way too soon to have any sort of panic.

There are current weaknesses that would hold the Los Angeles Lakers back, though.

Just because it is not time to panic does not mean that we shouldn’t point out where the Lakers are struggling. There are absolutely areas of the Lakers’ game that need to improve, and if they don’t, the Lakers are not going to make much of a title run at all.

Let’s dive into the three areas that the Lakers must improve in if they want to make any sort of noise in the 2022 NBA Playoffs.
